How We Began

The Ross Mosier Classic was created in the memory of Ross who died of Cystic Fibrosis in 1980 at the age of 12 at Children's Hospital at Stanford. In 1972, Ross was the Cystic Fibrosis National Poster Child.

Since its inception in 1981, the tournament has handed over $3,000,000 to trained researchers to help further research into causes and treatment of Cystic Fibrosis. This genetic disease affects 1 in 2,500 children in America each year. It primarily disables the lungs and digestive tract. Treatments include daily medication, nutritional disciplines and physical therapy.
